Winterizing

Some of you may be able to relate to this. Why is it that we store the old vehicles indoors and the newer ones outside?

Bugging you

This is good and short and to the point. I had to subscribe to this tuber. nikqp (guitarist)

They need it yesterday.

Late last night (8:00pm) a farmer arrives at our door asking if Kirk could work on/fix his equipment in the morning. Not really knowing what needs to be repaired the answer is usually; Yes, bring it over. (as he grumbles "don't people know what time it is?")

What sounds like a fast and easy job, got complicated. Surprise. And of course, he needs it ASAP. Along with everyone one else that arrived today. Whew, it is non-stop. Too bad Kirk doesn't charge extra for "rush pressure".

Beans, beans make you toot

We have natural resources. We just have to find a way to harness it.

Aluminum on steel

This project was a bit of a test.
Attach aluminum to customer's old steel frame trailer.
Kirk fabricates and welds on aluminum fenders with built-in/protected lights
and removable sides.
The customer plans on using this to haul wood. The hitch on the back is to pull a log-splitter. (click on pictures to enlarge)
Customer pulled out today a Happy Logger.
Another job done!

My needs?

This is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. (Right up there with serving coffee)

Thanksgiving Harvest

The weather is very hot for this time of the year. The farmers are working hard and taking advantage of this great weather. Today "is" Thanksgiving here in Canada. There is a lot of action behind our home - harvesting the beans and planting next years wheat crop. (I think it is wheat?)

Kirk is riding with the farmer in the bean harvester.

It is good to have company on Thanksgiving.

I'm hanging out in the house with the AC on. Too much of a change in temperature for me.

Thanksgiving

Five generation picture.
My brother, Frank, in charge of the wine. Bottle of red, bottle of white or a bottle of rose in stead.
The "children's table". OK, young adults.
The "adult table".
The way Kirk and I felt. Very full and tired.
Thank you family, for another wonderful day.

Stair case to water

Another specialty job complete. Now the customer can get on his boat from his back yard. The steps are suspended from wall and designed to be removed before winter.
It is fortunate that water level was low for the installation.
